Meet Our Team

Kaylee Goss, LPC NCC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I obtained my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Treatment from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Prior to starting the Center for Creative Change, I worked in a diverse range of clinical settings, including a non-profit play therapy center, an inpatient hospital, an intensive outpatient group, and a group private practice.

Creating a safe and supportive environment is at the core of my approach to therapy. I value providing a space where my clients can freely explore, express, and challenge themselves, recognizing and nurturing unique strengths and abilities. I embrace a holistic and integrative perspective, tailoring my treatment approach and drawing from a range of evidence-based treatment modalities to meet each person's unique needs. I often incorporate creative expression (i.e. art, music, and play) as therapeutic tools to connect with clients and foster growth. For children and teen clients, I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). With adult clients, I use these evidence-based modalities combined with a strength-based model, often integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS). For all clients, my therapy dog June Bug can be a source of comfort and healing in sessions.

As a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, I provide valuable support and guidance to parents 1 on 1 or in group settings. I lead various workshops and groups to foster healthy parent-child relationships and improve behaviors at home. I believe in collaboration and communication, frequently working closely with support teams beyond the family, such as teachers, school counselors, and medical providers, to ensure comprehensive care for my clients.

I have specialized training in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), an evidence-based treatment modality developed at the Yale Child Study Center by Dr. Eli Lebowitz. The approach equips parents to reduce their child’s anxiety by adjusting their own behaviors and fostering the child’s confidence. A key feature of SPACE is that it focuses entirely on parenting strategies, without requiring direct involvement from the child or teen to achieve meaningful change.

Beyond traditional therapy, I enrich my therapy practice through my background as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and Certified Rainbow Children's Yoga Instructor. I integrate this expertise into therapy sessions, assisting clients in finding grounding and regulation in their bodies. Through focused breathing, purposeful movement, and mindfulness, I empower individuals to cultivate self-awareness and effectively manage stress.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better soon! Set up a consultation call to get started.

June Bug, Certified Therapy Dog
Hi, I'm June Bug, the therapy dog with a gentle spirit. Kaylee adopted me in 2021, and since then, we've been a dynamic duo in therapy sessions. As a Certified Therapy Dog through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, I work with Kaylee hand in paw to ensure our clients feel supported.

Animal-assisted therapy, like the kind I offer, has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety while promoting relaxation and well-being. I'm always grateful to see you, happy to receive pets when you need to feel grounded, and perfectly content to nap on my own if you need space. I understand that some humans have allergies, so my presence in session is optional.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy chasing chipmunks, playing with my big brother Weston, and going on long walks. Kaylee and I are also a dedicated volunteer team, spreading my comfort and joy beyond formal sessions.
